										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">CEAT Ltd, Mumbai headquartered, a flagship company of the RPG Enterprises, has presented its Q3 FY 2018-19 numbers today afternoon.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Company&#8217;s standalone revenue for the quarter ended 31 December 2018 stood at INR 1673.41 Cr vs INR 1549.96 Cr for the same corresponding period last year, showing 8% revenue growth year-on-year basis. CEAT registered 2.60% de-growth as far as revenues are concern on a QoQ basis (INR 1718.16 CR for July to September &#8217;18 quarter)</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Its consolidated total income stood at INR 1,717.95 Cr for the quarter, against INR 1,580.78 Cr for the same period a year ago.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Company reported INR 58.03 Cr net profit after tax for October to December &#8217;18 quarter against INR 90.99 Cr a period one year ago, registering 36.23% dip YoY. CEAT also registered 23% de-growth in PAT Quarter-on-quarter basis (INR 75.32 Cr for quarter ended September &#8217;18)</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Managing Director Speaks &#8211;</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">CEAT MD Anant Goenka said: &#8220;Our Q3 revenue, year-on-year, has witnessed an upward growth on the back of a strong performance in two-wheelers and commercial vehicle segments.&#8221; From a product launch perspective, the company is excited with the launch of the Gripp X3 and Milaze X3 products, he said.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">For the Q1 FY19, India’s largest tyre manufacturer MRF Limited (<a href="https://www.bseindia.com/xml-data/corpfiling/AttachHis/a9c672cc-f93d-4e54-aedf-e01dae2acebe.pdf">MRF</a>) reported lower than expected numbers.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Standalone revenue for the company was down almost 3% YoY (flat QoQ) at INR 3,855.55 Cr, lower than the consensus estimate of INR 4,069 Cr.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Standalone profit after tax (PAT) was up 145% YoY (25% down QoQ) at INR 261 Cr again missed the consensus estimate of INR 368 Cr by a wide margin.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">MRF is a leader in the Indian tyre industry with nearly 28% revenue market share.</p>
<h4 style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>Star Performer in the Sector:</strong></span></h4>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Balkrishna Industries, Apollo Tyres, Ceat, and JK Tyres are the star performer for the sector for the quarter ended 30 June 2018.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The above-listed companies have registered Revenues growth of 15% to 35% for the April to June 2018 quarter while the Profits were increased by 50% to 307% for the same period.</p>

<p>Q1 was a challenging rather disappointing quarter for almost all the tyre manufacturers due to the GST impact and peak RM prices. Both these factors have hit tyre companies top-line and bottom-line badly.</p>
<p>As far as numbers are concern, the profits of the companies were down in the range of 46% to 99%, while revenues were up marginally in the range between 2% to 7%.</p>
<p>Market leader MRF has posted a decline in profits (drops by as many as 63% compared to previous quarter) while revenues (up 7% in comparison with last quarter), while Apollotyre and Ceat posted a huge decline in profits.</p>
<h3>Star Performer in the Sector:</h3>
<p>The star performer in the sector for the quarter ended 30 June 2017 was &#8220;Balkrishna Industries&#8221; where the company showed 11.78% growth in profit and 3.76% growth in Revenue as compared to previous quarter.</p>
