										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">DEWAN HOUSING FINANCE CORPORATION LIMITED (DHFL) has presented its Q1 FY18-19 results today post market hours. Listed below are some of the financial highlights &#8211;</p>
<h4 style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>Revenue Q1 FY18-19</strong></span></h4>
<p style="text-align: justify;">DHFL&#8217;s standalone revenue for the period ended 30 June 2018 stood at INR 3149.67 Cr which was INR 2495.94 Cr for the same period last year, showing 26.19% growth on YoY basis.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Company&#8217;s total revenue for April to June 2018 quarter stood at INR 3156.09 Cr which was INR 2497.14 Cr a period year ago.</p>
<h4 style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>Profit</strong></span></h4>
<p style="text-align: justify;">DHLF&#8217;s a profit after tax (PAT) for Q1 FY 2018-19 stood at INR 435.02 Cr which was INR 322.42 Cr for the period ends on 30 June 2017, showing a YoY growth of 34.92 percents.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Company&#8217;s Earnings Per Share, Basic INR 13.87 v/s 10.29 and Diluted 13.81 v/s 10.27.</p>
<h4 style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>Loan Book &amp; Disbursements</strong></span></h4>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Loan book outstanding For DHFL saw a growth of 13% to INR 1,00,980.5 Cr during the quarter under review as against INR 76,224.8 Cr in the year-ago period.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Loan disbursements and sanctions for the June quarter stood at INR 13,582.9 Cr an increase of 65%, DHFL chairman and managing director Kapil Wadhawan said.</p>
<h4 style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>AUM &amp; NPA</strong></span></h4>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Assets under management (<strong>AUM</strong>) grew 33% YoY to INR 1,00,980.5 Cr as of June end.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Gross <strong>NPA</strong> marginally declined to 0.93% while net interest margin rose to 3.44% from 3.04% a year ago.</p>
<h4 style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>Rakesh Jhunjhunwala Cuts Stake in April-June Quarter</strong></span></h4>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Ace investor, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, has cut his shareholding in Dewan Housing Finance to 2.76% in April &#8211; June ‘18 quarter, from 3.19% in January &#8211; March ‘18 quarter.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Jhunjhunwala Rakesh Radheshyam has sold 13,34,736 equity shares during the quarter, bringing the stake down to 86,65,264 shares from 1,00,00,000 shares earlier, as of June 2018.</p>

<p>Q1 (April &#8211; June 2017) was fantastic as far as Housing Finance sector is concern.</p>
<p>Almost all the companies have shown strong performance in the quarter. The government led actions with the mission of Housing for All by 2022 and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana along with Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) Bill has induced substantial positivity in the sector especially from a long term perspective.</p>
<p>For the numbers, the profits of the companies were UP in the range of 15% to 90%, while revenues were up in the range between 8% to 38%.</p>
<p>Market leader HDFC (Housing Development Finance Corporation) registered de-growth both in Profit and Income (were down by 3% and 17% respectively as compared to same period last year).</p>
<h3>Star Performer in the Sector:</h3>
<p>All the other companies expect that of HDFC were star performer from the sector, where in the companies have shown a healthy jump in profit and revenues as compared to the same period last year.</p>

<p>For the numbers, the profits of the companies were UP in the range of 18% to 49%, while revenues were up in the range between 10% to 24%.</p>
<p>Country&#8217;s largest housing finance company and market leader Housing Development Finance Corporation registered surprising negative growth in Profit (21.59% down) while company&#8217;s income was up roughly 10%.</p>
<p><strong>Star Performer in the Sector:</strong></p>
<p>The star performer in the sector for the quarter ended 31 March 2017 was “Indiabulls Housing Finance, DHFL, Can Fin Homes and GIC Housing” where in the companies have shown 28% to 49% jump in profit and 14% to 23% jump in income as compared to the same period last year.</p>
<p>Dewan Housing Finance Corporation&#8217;s profit during the fourth quarter of 2016-17 soared to Rs 2,218 crore ( up by 1069% ) taking into account one-time exceptional gain of Rs 1,969.43 crore on stake sale in its insurance arm DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance to its wholly owned subsidiary DHFL Investments Ltd.</p>
