Equity Stake Purchased by the US hedge fund

Data from the NSE bulk deals report suggests that the US-based Miri Capital Management-owned Miri Strategic Emerging Markets Fund has acquired an additional 1.49% equity stake (more than 4 lakh shares) in Antony Waste Handling Cell Limited, a leading player in the Indian Municipal Solid Waste Management industry, via open market transactions on January 23, 2026.

Shares of Antony Waste Handling Cell jumped nearly 13.8% to close at a high of ₹570.75, with volumes of 9,879,877 shares on the National Stock Exchange, decisively surpassing its short-, medium-, and long-term moving averages in a single trading session.

Last week, the US fund acquired a 1.05% equity stake (3 lakh shares), in addition to its 1.14% stake held as of December 2025.

REVENUE

On a consolidates basis, the company’s revenue from operations stood at INR 235.11 Cr for the Q1 ending 30 June 2022 as compared to INR 145.36 Cr for the same period last year, registering a growth of 61.75% year-on-year basis

However, on a quarter-on-quarter basis the revenue of the company grew by 24.91% (revenue of INR 188.22 Cr for the period ended 31 March 2022)

• Mechanized Sweeping Projects: which involve deploying of power sweeping machines, manpower, comprehensive maintenance, consumables, safe disposal of the waste and any other items required for completion of the cleaning operation of the selected areas, through itself and/or its subsidiaries.
