Studds Accessories: History

The Company was originally incorporated as Studds Accessories Private Limited on February 03, 1983, a private limited company under the Companies Act, 1956.

The Company was then converted into a public limited company under a special resolution passed by the shareholders on 22 October 1994, and its name was changed to Studds Accessories Limited.

Studds Accessories Ltd. is the leading wholesale manufacturer and exporter of two-wheeler helmets, riding gear, and motorcycle accessories in India and abroad.

The Company’s range of products includes two-wheeler lifestyle accessories such as –

• Two-Wheeler Luggage,
• Eye Wear,
• Gloves,
• Helmet,
• Rain Suits, and
• Security Guards.

Over time, the company has diversified its product line under two brands, Studds and SMK, each of which is positioned to target distinct market niches for two-wheeler lifestyle accessories and helmets.

The Company’s products are sold across India and in more than 70 countries worldwide, with key export markets and clients situated across Asia, the Americas, Europe, and the rest of the world.

As of December 31, 2024, Studds held a 27.3 percent domestic market share by volume and 25.5 percent by value.

Manufacturing Facilities

The Company’s product development channel is supported by two backward-integrated manufacturing facilities located in Haryana and Faridabad.

Distributor Network

The company distributes its products through 348 Indian distributors, OEM partnerships (Royal Enfield & Hero MotoCorp), e-commerce, and exclusive brand outlets.
