Prasol Chemicals: History
The Company was originally incorporated as Prachi Poly Products Private Limited under the Companies Act, 1956, on January 24, 1992.
The Company was then converted into a public limited company on January 15, 2022, under a special resolution passed by the shareholders.
Its name was subsequently changed to Prasol Chemicals Limited, and the RoC issued a fresh certificate of incorporation on February 4, 2022.
Prasol Chemicals: Business
Prasol Chemicals Limited is a forward-integrated manufacturer of acetone and phosphorus-based specialty chemicals, as well as other specialty chemicals involving complex and differentiated chemistries.
The Company’s products find diversified applications across numerous industries, with 5 key segments being –
- Performance chemicals (lubricant additives & mining chemicals);
- PICA viz., (paints, inks, construction, & adhesives);
- Pharmaceuticals;
- Agrochemicals; and
- Home and Personal Care (Application Industries).
As of 30 June 2026, its portfolio comprised more than 150 products, including 53 phosphorus-based, 21 acetone-based, and 76 other specialty chemicals.

Prasol is a 3 Star Export House company, as certified by the Government of India, with a robust global distribution network spread across 69 countries in –
- Asia-Pacific (APAC),

Manufacturing Facility
The Company operates 2 manufacturing facilities located in,
- Khopoli (Maharashtra), started in 1995, spanning a total area of 118,004.00 square meters, and
- Mahad (Maharashtra), started in 2020, spanning a total area of 79,423.00 square meters.
Research and Development (R&D)
R&D remains a central theme for growth for Prasol, with 37 in-house R&D personnel, 40 products in the development pipeline, and 13 products commercialized since April 2023.
