Sunshine Pictures: History

The Company was originally incorporated as Energetic Films Private Limited, a private limited company under the Companies Act, 1956, on July 14, 2007.

The Company was then converted into a public limited company on August 14, 2024, under a special resolution passed by the shareholders.

Its name was subsequently changed to Sunshine Pictures Limited, and the RoC issued a fresh certificate of incorporation on September 27, 2024.

 

Sunshine Pictures: Business

Sunshine Pictures Ltd is a production house engaged in the business of originating, creating, developing, producing, marketing, and distributing films, TV serials, and web series (projects).

It is a technology-driven content creator that specializes in multi-format commercial films, emphasizing innovation in storytelling and production techniques.

The Company follows a hybrid production model combining standalone productions and co-productions.

  • Co-productions, particularly for larger-budget projects, provide greater revenue visibility through fixed-fee arrangements.
  • Standalone projects allow the company to retain intellectual property and capture upside from theatrical, television, OTT, music, and other ancillary rights.

As of the DRHP date, the company had produced 13 commercial films, 3 TV serials, 2 web series, and one short commercial film.
