Shiprocket: History
The Company was incorporated in New Delhi, India, as Bigfoot Retail Solutions Private Limited, a private limited company under the Companies Act, 1956, on September 28, 2011.
The Company was then converted into a public limited company on January 18, 2025, under a special resolution passed by the shareholders.
Its name was subsequently changed to Shiprocket Limited, and the RoC issued a fresh certificate of incorporation on February 18, 2025.
Shiprocket: Business
Shiprocket Ltd is an end-to-end, new-age, merchant-first, and API-led technology platform designed to enable e-commerce transactions for India’s MSMEs and Large Retailers.
The company’s core business aggregates multiple logistics partners, enabling merchants to optimise deliveries through AI-driven courier selection, automated order tracking, COD remittance, weight-discrepancy management, and predictive delivery timelines.
Beyond domestic shipping, the company has expanded into –
- fulfilment centres,
- digital marketing solutions,
- international shipping,
- omnichannel commerce (Shiprocket Omuni),
- one-click checkout,
- hyperlocal deliveries, and
- embedded financing through lending partners.
